Moving from CoConstruct to JobTread with QuickBooks Online

A clean cutover for open houses.

Short answer: To move from CoConstruct to JobTread without breaking QuickBooks Online, pick a cutover date, finish or export open jobs, rebuild one cost code list in JobTread that matches QuickBooks, reload budgets for houses still under construction, connect the JobTread QuickBooks integration, and tie cost to date by house in both systems after the first close.

Before the cutover

  • Export budgets, change orders and selections for every open house
  • Reconcile QuickBooks through the cutover month
  • Agree the cost code list you will keep

After the cutover

  • Load open house budgets in JobTread with the same codes
  • Map jobs to QuickBooks projects
  • Enter bills in one system only
  • Tie out cost to date by house after the first month

Closed houses

Keep the history in QuickBooks. It already holds the actual costs. There is usually no need to rebuild finished jobs.

Common questions

Do I have to move?

Check CoConstruct's own notices for your account. Many former users have moved to Buildertrend or JobTread.

Can you help with the move?

Yes. We plan the cutover and handle the QuickBooks side during setup.

Will I lose job history?

Not if QuickBooks was kept current. Export what you need from the old system first.
